break light not working please help!
hi i have a 2000 civic si and im having problems with my break lights they dont get brighter wen i press the brake pedal and i keep getting pulled over.... i changed my bulbs, the brake light switch and the fuse but they still dont work... here is were im getting confused all the 7443 bulbs are 13.5 volts but are suppose to work with 12v systems??? my car is putting a steady 12.7 volts were the bulbs are inserted what can be wrong ??? i did check my ground and also the switch is working fine... can some one give me some feed back please!!

Check the harness for corrosion. Normally(the corrosion that is) would be a greenish color. Check inside the bulb insert also.

That is a dual filament bulb you're using right? Did you have someone test the sockets when you apply the brake? Did you check the connection at the brake switch? There aren't too many things that can be wrong. It's either the switch, bulbs, sockets or wiring. Start eliminating things.
