BRAKE PROBLEM NEED HELP NOW PLZ
k i have a 92 civic hb dx and the brakes aren't workin for **** the pedal goes all the way down and stops the car a minimum I alredy replaced the brake master cylinder, brake booster, but same problem the car still doesn't brake what else should i look 4 ?
LIL MORE INFO---- yea the pedal just goes all the way in and the back brakes are drums and theres sum stick there that holds the brakes from like how far they are opened or close and that stick started rubbin against sumthin and it just broke could this be the problem by not having this the brakes are 2 close and is just not buildin up enough pressure to open up all the brakes ???

Yeah but it sounds as if he had this problem BEFORE replacing the master cylinder.

The only thing I can suggest is to FIRST replace the parts you *KNOW* are broken. It will help you identify your problem easier. Otherwise, it's like having brain surgery to get rid of pain in your knee.
Other than that, it sounds like your Adjuster Bolt/Connecting Rods assembly is broken. Check out this page http://www.hondaautomotivepart...UM%29 and see if anything looks familiar. I am unsure if a broken Adjuster Bolt would give the symptoms you describe, but start with your broken part first...
How is your parking brake working? The parking brake is mechanically operated by cable, and should not be affected by any hydraulic failures/faults. If your parking brake works, then you can conclude that the problem is somewhere in your brake lines. If it doesn't work, then you'll know there is something wrong with the way your shoes/drums are reassembled (likely to do with your broken part, which also might be your parking brake lever).
Also, how are your front brakes? If both of your front brakes don't work when your pedal is all the way to the ground, then it might suggest that the problem concerns your brake line system. If they DO work, then you've isolated your problem to the back end (and/or the lines leading to them).
If you don't already have one, buy a repair/maintenance guide. They are a generally good resource for things like this. And take a lot of pictures if you can. The users here can help you a lot more if you do.

Yeah, the Adjuster Bolt assembly is responsible for maintaining your shoes' proper distance (among potentially other things). Definitely replace this part. Again, it might not solve your problem, but doing so will help you find out where things are *really* going wrong (if anywhere). Fortunately, it won't cost you too much to get it.
After replacing this part, test your parking brake again. If it works, you'll know that the mechanics of your rear drums are ok.
If your parking brake works, but your drums don't, you'll know that the problem is with your pressurized components (drum cylinder --> lines --> prop valve --> master cylinder --> power booster --> pedal). In diagnosing a connected system, it's best to start from the outtermost components first.
If, after replacing your Adjuster Bolt assembly, your parking brake AND rear drum brakes don't work, then it suggests there is still at least one more problem with your rear drum assembly, with a potential problem still lurking in your hydraulics.

PS - if anyone can provide corrections, please do. I'm still quite a noob, so keep your mind open when reading my suggestions...

search... this has been covered lots of times before. And yes, if you didn't bench bleed the MC, that's why the pedal is going to the floor. Bench bleeding is like priming a pump...

Re: (Slammed92hbonN20)
did you adjust the rear drums? if you didn't, adjust them and it makes a world of difference in braking.
glad to hear you've got your brakes back.
