brake prob. need help

Default brake prob. need help

the brake pedal slowly eases to the floor about 1 in 4 stops. someone said its the booster but i did the check it said in the haynes manual and it seems fine? is it my master cylinder

and for the obvious there is fluid, no leak, just started doing this yesterday, and i checked the lines no swelling,

the only thing thats been done so far is a valve cover gasket kit. but i just bled the brakes about three times over. it got stiffer but still sinks to the floor.

If you bled the brakes correctly and in the proper order, then the master cylinder likely needs to be replaced.

X2 on the master, it's a classic symtom for the brake pedal to creep slowly down if there are no other leaks, get a new master, don't forget to ajust the threaded pushrod correctly, it's connected to the top of the brake pedal under the dash and needs to be ajusted to match the new master.
Bench bleed the new master by plugging the outlets, filling it with fluid and pumping till it gets hard. Then install it in the car.

I believe you could maybe have some air in your brake system i would recommend an bleeding sequence of all 4 lines get all the air out

before you go and replace the whole master, get yourself a new cap it could just be a problem with the gasket in the cap. Also check your vacume line to the booster maybe its dry-rotted.
