brake feel
i did a little road test to get the feel of the brakes. when i did this, i coasted from 40 down a hill to 25mph and turned on the street i lived on. i did it a second time, only put light brake pedal pressure on the brake pedal. when i steped on the brake, the brake lights lighted up, but there was no feel of braking from the car. i hit 25mph at the same turn, same as coasting. the pedal feel is very soft and in order for me to stop, i have to put more pedal pressure on it unlike a new car where u can put a little pressure on the brake and u can feel the car slow. any suggestions for what the problem can be? bad brakes or loose line? any advise is helpful. thanks

Sounds like it could be your master cylinder going.
When you are sitting at a red light and have your foot on the brake pedal, can you feel it sinking towards the floor?
If so, it's your M.C.
