Default Bought my 15th Civic Today :P

Yup, been into Honda's a while now, lol This one has 110k on it, no options, base cx model, 2200lbs 1996 model year, cost $700 :D

It needs a little bit of love, it'll get it soon. I do have a good tech question for a problem i've never run into before. The speedo is not accurate, and doesn't always work. I've heard this is a common issue...it te fix just replacing the gear/sensor on the transmission side?

Disconnect the plug first and see if that makes any difference.

I plan to try some trouble shooting this weekend regarding the speed sensor and the gauge cluster.

I also plan to swap out the plain Jane stock CX cluster from either a Canadian Si or CRV as they are plug and play for EK models. I will update the info soon

Make sure the plug for the speed sensor isn't rotted out, a buddy of mines civic had random speedometer issues, he replaced the sensor and no change come to find out the plug was all corroded inside and the wiring was shot a few inches back. Cut it off and replaced it with a new one and everything was fine.
