Default Bought B16 del Sol, got one question

Hey guys, this will have to be my first time in the Civic section. I've got a 90 Accord w/ H22 for me and I let my girlfriend drive my 2001 Accord LX Sedan. But she got sick of it and bought a DOHC VTEC Sol.

This thing came with a huge exhaust (Greddy though) , AEM short ram intake, and AEM pulleys. There is a rattling sound you can hear when driving but it's only loud between 2000 and 4000 rpm. Think of rolling metal ***** around in a metal can. It seems to be coming from the driver side and I can't really put a finger on the sound. Maybe exhaust rattling against something, pulleys acting up?

Summary: new Sol, metal ***** in can sound from driver's side at 2-3 grand

Thanks for the help, hope to be spending a little more time in here now.

Is it just when the car is cold? My civic makes that same noise when the car is still really cold. No idea what it is.

If the heat shield on the cat is loose, it usually rattles around like that. Don't know though, just a thought. Check the O2 sensor also like mrnicolas suggested.

good luck

my buddy's del Sol had a weld break inside the rocker panel and it sounded like that... bloody horrible.

Could be the greddy. Some of the greddy models are known for rattling

Thanks for the help guys. I'm gonna crawl under this evening once it cools down outside. It happens no matter what gear I'm in, even neutral, just sitting there revving so I'm pretty sure it's something like what you guys are saying. Exhaust rattling against something, cat rattling, something of the sort.

Again, thanks for the help and hopefully I'll learn a little something about the B-series.
