Default boosted eg gsr throwing a map sensor code? Please help

I have a 94 hatchy with a boosted gsr motor in it. I've been driving it fine for about 2 weeks now, no problems but then yesterday when i was driving it home it threw a map sensor code. Now, I know that your supposed to run a check valve on boosted cars, but I'm running a S-AFC, and I thought that if your running a AFC of some sort, you don't need the check valve. Help me out guys, is this true or should I try running a check valve?

I have 94 JDM GSr with a JR supercharger. I am also getting the map sensor code. I have checked the voltage output which is okay. I am still getting the light under hard acceleration from a stop. I am thinking of changing to a 3 bar map.

No, an AFC will not control that. You need a check/valve or missing link. Or a chipped ecu made for a stock ecu to not read boost.

AFC does not stop the map sensor from seeing boost. You will need check valves/missing link or better yet some sort of aftermarket computer (Hondata,Crome,AEM,Uberdata)

Get a missing link. 3-bar map will work too.

I have an msd 3 bar map on the way, could the map sensor cause the tps code to come up as well?
