Default Bogging Woes....

I'm stumped.........i just tried a friend's TPS sensor on my JDM d15B and it read the voltage the SAME as mine. I thought i wasn't getting proper voltage due to a faulty sensor, but that wasn't the case. My car still boggs till 3K rpms, and my TPS is still reading .45 Idle, and 2.0 WOT........but it's not the sensor.

My questions are:

- would the fact that i'm running a CX distributor and Plug wires be a factor in regards to my bogging/ car not getting proper voltage?

- I know this is a long shot because i assume the voltage should be the same on all TPS sensors, but; Could my TPS sensor not be getting proper voltage because i'm still running a CX ecu?

Here's a pic for those of you who don't venture into threads without pics

UPDATE!!!: Just swapped in my friend's P28 ECU for a few test runs, and get this - NO MORE BOGGING!! Runs like a champ, no hesitation what so ever. THANK YOU ALL OF HONDA-TECH FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND INFO!!!

well you should have an up arrow on each cam gear....make sure both of them are pointing in the exact same direction....you can look @ the gears to see if the belt is slightly off a tooth or so....

Has the filter made a diff with Bogg? Just wondering cuz there was a thread a while ago about how running with just a filter caused low end bogg. Just trying to help, if not, good luck man, I feel you're pain.

nah i'm sure it's not the filter, it's too intermittent to be something like that. It boggs off and on until 3K, i don't believe it could be the fact that i'm running a filter I'm just wondering if it could be the CX dizzy or ECU, those are the only things left i can think of.
Maybe the 02 sensor?

I had very similar problems with loss of power and i narrowed it down to my ecu and i also found that my wiring harness was another problem, so just borrow an ecu from someone and see if it goes away, and also check if you have any loose or corroded wires.

what kind of ecu are you running?

the cx "should" work,
but the mounting bolts are definetely different,
how did you get it to fit on??

There is basically no reseviour of air for your car to suck up at a dead stop. You basically have a shai on your intake manifold.

Stupid hot air intake. My brother did the same **** to his car and it fucked up his fuel distribution.

Makes it run rich or lean or some ****, im not the technical one so I am not trying to sound it!

maybe it's the simplest things after all . **** it, if it's the filter, that'll be better for me. I just didn't think that it could have such a detrimental impact on the throttle response, the bogging is so damn intermittent and jerky that i would have never guessed the filter - but you sound sure so i'll take your word for it.

interesting,
well it would be a lean condition,
which makes sense, bogging is a symptom of running lean,
and not having enough air, but getting the same ammount of fuel would mean you're running lean.

I wouldnt expect just having a short intake arm to do that though,
I think ppl run that on crx's alot.. ok maybe alot but i've seen it.... heh.

its common sense an intake tube has air sitting in it, you are eliminating that... imagine if you have ever smoked with a bong...

you know you have to fill that chamber up with smoke before you remove your bowl and take your hit.

imagine if you eliminate that chamber and try to hit... Thats right kids, your *** will be choking just like his car lol.

Hopefully you will understand with these wise words as technical is not my field.

Let us know what happens with all the options you are trying. I just did an LS swap into a 92 hatch, and I have the same problem with bogging until about 4K...Later,
