blowing fuses for rear lights on a 98 hatch

Default blowing fuses for rear lights on a 98 hatch

so i cant figure out y but my car has stared blowing the fuse for the rear lights. i checked the bulbs and the lines (from what i could see) nothing was ripped or exposed. i even tried to put in a heaver fuse even when the lights are off and i put one in it gets blown right away

In the rear, disconnect all the connectors to the lights on the bad circuit. If the fuse still blows, then there is a short upstream of the connectors in the circuit. You might check the combination switch in this case. If the fuse doesn't blow, carefully inspect the bulb sockets for evidence of shorting.
