Black oil smells like gas
Everytime I change my oil, it become black first time I start the car.
It smells like gas too.
I change my filter every time I do my oil change.
I heard that it could be my pistons rings which lets the gas goes in my oil, is that right ?
Somebody also told me that it could be the seal on the injector which needs to be changed.
Help would be appreciated. If you need any specs let me know.
Thanks !

Re: Black oil smells like gas
your car is running rich for some reason, to figure it out give us information on your car.
when it runs rich it doesnt burn all the gas that goes into the cylinders, when that happens the gas builds up and will do something called blow-by that will burn the piston rings right up and let gas into your oil.
its not a seal on the injector.

Re: Black oil smells like gas
I have a 95 JDM D15b OBD1 . I recently changed my tps cause I had CEL but nothing better. I changed O2 sensor on the headers cause it was broken but still the same.
I have only 1 02 sensor is it normal on 95 d15b ?

Re: Black oil smells like gas
this might be a problem, i was told mines running lean because the back o2 is deleted so it might run rich because the front one is gone, but i never had a problem with that with my firebird so i dont see why it would be different, check your MAF or whatever you got on there, could be bad injectors, if you havent done a tune up on it recently go ahead and do that, cap, rotar, plugs, wires the whole deal and change the oil, if the oil is still bad after a week or so id check injectors....or just replace them since there are only 4 lol.

Re: Black oil smells like gas
just my .02 my da had same problem. i know this from exp. while working on toyota. piston rings could be starting to freeze up. doing alot of emission repairs id rec a emissions tune up includes plugs, engine flush to free the rings, EFI flush includes tb,im cleaning and gas additive. trust me i had a 94 corolla today with exact same problem. if you are a diy guy id strongly rec take it to a local shop or dealer and see if they offer these services.

the thermostat can very well the the cause of you car not warming up. change the thermostat and go from there, start cheap before you go expensive, buy some carb sray/ cleaner at your local autoparts and clean the throttle body thurougly let it dry for a couple minutes and then start the car.
change your plugs, wires, cap and rotor, after if your thermostat does not fix the problem, you obviously have a problem with your rings if your oil smells like gas but these steps might help.
