these people on the pics are car thieves around the area , and i saw them go around asking people what they had under the hood and what was there best time, its like 10 spanish guys, one drives a blue si with rota's slip,cf hood dropped with custom interior seats, with temp tags, other car they drive is a red coupe ex with a body kit and rims, and another red 96+gsr with rota's turbo , also like 96 style brown-tan civic hb, white crx with a body kit ,and rims, fenders, also a tan maxima with rice lights beware!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
they go around asking if they can see under the hood on almost every car there , then they get together and talk about cars had, i guess to see if they can steal it

How do you know they steal cars? Because they drive modded cars? Because they're Latin-Americans? When I see someone with a nice car, I ask them what they have done; if it's something cool I probably tell my friends, but that in no way means I plan to steal the car.

You post this thread, but don't know for sure they steal cars?

they are all known for stealing cars, they are fucken pros at it ,

The thefts around the NOVA area have been usually suspects of the Latin-American race... I'm not saying they are, or arent but just be careful..

My friends EK was jacked at Fair Oaks mall in an hour and half, and my friends JDM front GSR was stolen from there too..

i caught an el salvadorean with my rims on his car, and i know for sure kids from northwestern broke into my car 3 times and about 50 other cars at umcp.

Every race steals cars thats a fact. I don't know if it was those guys but around where I live it is the Latin American race. My buddies dad saw them jacking his car. He yelled at them and they walked away. He walked up to the car to see what they did and there was one still under the car. So I know its them.

I dont think its right to point at a certain race, i bet you every nationality has its share of theives.why stereotype?

im asain, 24yrs old and make over 50grand a year, it just pisses me off when people assume who you are and what you do coz of your nationality. thats totally wrong. and just because they have fix up cars, dont mean they're theives, some people have jobs

the most i've stolen from a honda was an "H" badge.....nine years ago...

It only becomes a race thing when someone gets their panties in a bunch. On two occasions I saw Asians attempt to break into my car on the driveway, but they heard me yell to my brother to wake up, and they ran off.

Had I posted a thread about "Someone tried to break into my car!!!!!!!!" and used just the previous sentence, I am pretty sure someone was gonna bring up race and stereotypes, even though I was DESCRIBING the persons trying to break into my car.

I did not see any negative racial overtones in the original post. He said they were Latin Americans. Nothing racial about it...it's actually better because his descriptions were more specific instead of saying "watch out for some male individuals asking about what's under your hood."

I think some of you guys need to RELAX. Why are you playing the race card? Just because he said "spanish guys" you're getting all pissy? I don't think it's a racial thing at all but lets face it, some people who are into hondas steal other peoples stuff to support their habit. Some of them happen to to be Latin American, some of them happen to be black, some are Asian, some are even GASP, white

The point is, be aware and do all you can to make your car more theft proof. I have posted several methods here on Honda Tech so please search before I get flooded with e-mail.

I have seen several of those cars around, the blue SI with the CF hook I am certain I have seen in the parking lot of Central Small Car Salvage but I don't have a face to go with the ride. I'll keep my eyes open though.

Wrong , i am just simply just saying to be careful and dont pop your hoods to shady people , these guys happen to be spanish, i am in no way turning this into a racial thing.... i am spanish myself. and i know these guys from high school , and all they did was was skip school go steal cars , thats what they are known for , and now they are going to the track.. so just beware , make sure u have good alarm, cut off switches, back up sirens and battery. just giving you guys a heads up , keep your hoods down to these shady people
