Not that it's technical in any manner but the first choice would be the one I'd lean toward before I went to actually inspect it.

I know nothing when it comes to motor types and internals so I figured I would ask people who do. What reason would you go with the first option?

More torque and horsepower. B16a's are gutless.
Question. If you don't know anything about the power plants in these cars then what is the basis for you picking these two?

I have always wanted the body style that these two both have and lower mileage with price. I had a 2000 maxima that an 18yr old kid rear ended with an f-250 and the check i got from his insurance i figured i would get the car i always wanted. So besides the body style, speed is always a good thing to have since I do highway driving a lot.

The first looks like it was taken care of a little better. I'd be wary of cars for sale that try to list generic things to make them look like a lot has been done to it like floor mats and shift *****. The second one only has one stinking picture. Not even one of the engine bay or interior.

The second one I have talked to the owner, he seemed like a family guy because he is selling to get a 4 door for his son to ride in. I am going to look at it during the day. I am worried about the motor portion. Besides less hp and torque, does the parts that are installed good? Basically would it be a good car to have as a dd if it was taken car of?

I guess it would be a toss-up. The first is a DX so missing some of the power options the EX has. It all depends on your inspection of the cars.

I also think the cars are both priced a little high.

I am shoting for 5k. I have been looking around in the area here and that seems fair. I saw an SI with 111k for 6k so I figure 5k is a fair price. What price do you think I should push for?

WHen you state missing power options, what exactly do you mean? I see both have power locks and windows. Sorry if its a dumb question, I am new to the civic world.
First car I had was a 92 accord with h22 but that was years ago and I do not know anything now.
