best value header - toda, spoon, jun, mugen, comptech ?
currently have ek9 header but lookin to upgrade for somethin that will definately give more gains for b16a2, already have fujitsubo rm-01a and icebox.
which header offers best value, doesnt have to be best gains. any others worth looking into (smsp, hytech etc are out of my price range) ?

Yeah, I wasn't trying to advertise for Hytech, but you can compare the cost to power numbers to try and find the best option for your set up. There's more dyno info at: http://www.importreview.com/main.html, a few of them use an ITR header I believe.

out of all the header manufactures you've listed toda gives the best midrange/peak power overall...but before you go and invest in a $1000 header I would get some other work done possibly on the head.. and toda Headers are pretty hard to come by used.. so from experience get the JDM 4-1 header(DC OR OEM HONDA) and then spend the rest of the money on some nice cams to wake up the B16A ..but it's up to your wallet.. and of course SMSP/HYTECH have proven there worth

I have to agree, that header kicks ***. I'm using it now, and it's great.

already have type r cams in and piggyback ecu.
i already have oem ek9 header so goin for dc jdm would be just takin a side step.
very interested in this "dynamic autosports". im in u.k so havnt heard of this company. would it be definate/worthwile improvement over oem ek9 header.
$300 sounds great and where can i get 1 from willing to ship international ?

Hey dude I don't really have any helpful info on a header. I use a Comptech 4-2-1 and I didnt recieve any significant gains. However I was wondering what your dyno results were with your current setup. Thanks!

Re: (Buck99Si)
AN-R is an awesome header as well. I can't remember the exact gains, but it was noticeable. I am thinking it was a .3 second improvement in the 1/8. They look awesome too! http://www.an-r.com

wow them an-r headers look impressive. whats differenece between street and merge collector ?
what benefits does the real flash lookin 1 offer over standard 1 ?
2 points i that are essential are that i want oem type ground clearence and 2.5" collector as must bolt stright to my jdm cat.
i didnt realise there was such a big list of quality headers out there
my setup is as follows
2001 itr cams (tuned)
toda gears
dastek unichip/vtec module
fujitsubo rm-01a
ek9 cat (lookin to replace with test pipe)
ek9 header
ek9 t/b
ek9 i/m
hoindata gasket
comptech icebox
only dyno i have is at flywheel which was 196 bhp and 136 ft lb (this was without ek9 i/m, ek9 t/b, hondata gasket and had aem cai instead of icebox at the time. also did have test pipe instead of cat)

Must have been quite a long time ago. There's much better header options available now, although not as cheap.
