Best suspension upgrades you ever purchased
Driving my car lately and definitly want more handling power. Right now I have RSR springs on Tokico Illuminas and it is not even close to sticking on turns. Can feel the car wandering.
What do you guys reccomend? Tires, strut bars, sway bars, Z10 radius arms, prothane inserts? What was the best suspension upgrades you bought that acutally made a difference and wasnt money wasted? Share you thoughts, thanks!

Re: Best suspension upgrades you ever purchased (Ichitech)
I think everyone here's down on Tok's, sorry. Short lives and marginal performance.
I haven't found a bad suspension mod yet. Every piece has radically changed the handling dynamics of my car, even the tower braces (particularly the rear). I know that doesn't help much but it's hard to prioritize them. Get a quality part and you won't be disappointed.

The best suspension mod i''ve bought were my neuspeed koni yellows and neuspeed race springs. People ofter over look the inportance of good tires, they play a HUGE roll in cornering ability, Lighter wheels help also. I'm still looking into a rear sway bar, but can't decide what i want to do. I can go OEM with a gsr LCAs and the gsr 14mm sway bar, or got with ST 19mm bar. Since my car is mostly a street car i don't want anything too big that will make my car unsafe on the road. I also have a front gsr strut bar, i can't tell for sure but i "think" my car has a little better turn in then before. You said you were experencing wonder in corners, you mave have worn bushings that need to be replaced. I talked a read articles from road racers and autoXers that poly bushing make your car handle tottaly different and in many cases not in a good way. They've said to replace the worn out bushings with oem rubber ones. What kind of driving do you do?

Tires play the biggest role in the cars handling/braking/accelerating. I think they should be looked at first.

Tires are going to be huge above all. A good tire on even a stock car makes a world of difference. After tires it goes like this in my mind:
(1.) Tein HAs: They are the siickest shock available. I believe Spoon1 and EkREV agree too.
(2.) TypeR front and Rear Sways. Huge difference for sticking the turns. I agree with Doctor CorteZ and C1V1C on that.
(3.) Energy Suspension Bushings. They make your car ride like it has no suspension. (I strongly do not recommend this for street unless your girlfriend is a Massage Therapist like mine.)
(4.) If you have spare money do the Strut braces. I noticed a minor increase in stiffness with all of them in place but it is minor.
My 2 Cents,
Jayson S.

i got a civic coupe (5th gen) and i wouldn't go bigger than 16's for all out performance and handling, and practicality. I got agx's and they're nice! The progress sway helps a lot. Hands down fellas...H&R puts out the best springs money can buy. Low ride but stiff one!! I paid 149.95$ at optionsautosalon baby!!!

best suspension mod so far for me is my do-luck floor reinforecement bar,( NOT MONKEY BARS AKA FAKE *** CAGE!!! ITS THE FLOOR BAR THAT GOES BEHIND THE FRONT SEATS ONLY)Stiffens the chasis like crazy. My car doesn't flex as much during turns or over bumps.
Soon it will be my teins

of all the suspension mods I have done....I felt the most difference with
SWAY BARS!!
great handling for the $$$
edit: especially when your car doesn't come with them stock.

Re: Best suspension upgrades you ever purchased (Ichitech)
Correct me if I'm wrong guy's and gals but I think the falkens are softer rubber than the paradas. wich would give them a shorter life span than the paradas but both have a pretty strong sidewall wich will help you corner better. I have only used the paradas and I liked them alot. (cant wait to get another set) the few peeps I know that run azenis didnt speek very highly of them. But the did say if your gonna run falkens thier the ones to get.
