Best suspension set up for 1.5 inch drop on EG/97 Civic ex?
I want to drop my Civic 1.5 inches, but want a comfortable ride, not one of those bouncy ***-pounding ones. What would be the best coil/suspension set up for a reasonable price?

you could look into the Tokico HP suspension set. its about 350.00 i think. i had it on my 96 coupe. it wasn't to bad, just not low enough. but the ride was good.
personally i would go with KYB agx's and H&R sports. its a bit more money but worth the cash in the long run

I have the tokico advanced handling kit (tokico springs and illumina's) on my 95 coupe and i love it. Its not too low, about 1.7" drop all around. The ride quality is similar to stock but it handles a million times better. I paid $800 CDN for the kit which is really only like $500-600 US. That in combination with suspension techniques sway bars and upper strut tower braces makes for a good handling car. Here's a pic of how it looks, i no longer have the 17's thank god, got rid of them for the ever popular SiR rims (SiR because i'm in canada)
this is how low the front is:

Flame on. lol

This is a really cheap alternative. Just put tein s-tech springs on your stock shocks. And be slammed for $150 and a days worth the work.
I have been using this setup for about 15,000 miles now. And the car rides like its stock. My gf doesnt even complain and she wont even ride in my car when I have my track coilovers setup on it. I can barely stand that though because the roads are so screwed up.
I get some minor rubbing issues in the fender well at full lock. No biggie.
And my car is so low that I have to let any passengers out before I park otherwise my door will hit the curb.

On my wife's
97 Civic Coupe..
I used RS*R Down springs and Koni Reds...
the ride is really smooth, handles and looks great..
wish I had a camera but have no access to one..
but the drop was not to low...about 1.6 front and rear...
