Dunno if it matters, but I ran NGK's in my teg, bimmer my boy's prelude. Ran/run NGK plugs with Bosch wires from Autozone in my gf's ex-91 hb and her current 98 Ex. Seem to run fine if not better.

I dunno...
I used to think NGK plugs were the way to go, but I've been doing this Honda gig for a while now, and all I can tell you is NGK spark plugs suck ***! I've gone back to (gulp) Champion spark plugs, and they rock - always have, always will. So, thats's my recommendation on plugs. I run #318 Copper Plus (RC12MC4) plugs - 79-cents each on sale. Put 'em in and forget 'em...
On wires, choose your poison. Magnecor is the best wire, but they have the worst holders. Then, there's all the rest - so take your pick. The name of this game is make them as cheap as possible and hope nobody knows the difference. To this end, NGK is as good as any...

So it's a waste of money on a near stock engine.

Stock plugs and wires for the GSR.
Also run Bosch on German or European cars. run NGK's on Japanese cars. I've known many people who've ran Bosch plugs and or wires because they couldn't get NGK's and they were buying NGKs shortly after because their car didn't run right.

believe it or not, stock Honda ignition stuff is really good. Leave them alone unless you are running some big coil or ignition or something. NGK is a good alternative to the stock wires.

Actually stock wires have been proven to lay down more power and more consistent spark than brand new NGK wires.
I wish I had that chart to post up where some old cristy-*** looking 1990ish stock Honda wires laid down more power than brand new NGK Blue wires on a first-gen B16A.
Stock wires are also NOT NGK. Most are Sumitomo.

I heard its better to stick with stock wires if you are going to purchase NGK blues! which i regret buying, now im back with stock which im happy, a bit quieter with the same performance.

Why would you need increased spark anyway on a stock motor (Header, intake and exhaust don't warrant a change.
Some heavily boosted guys are running stock adndoing just fine.
The different ignition is another one of those import myths.
