Default best motor to swap into a 92 civic

i have a 92 civic and i was thinking about a b16a, but i don't want to be like every civic around. my buddy does alot of swaps and said he could do an h22a. but i wanted this swap to be a learning experiance. mainly what motor should i use.

i guess ill tell you before everyone else does..."there is a sticky for this dude."

there is no best engine....different engines suit different applications...(IE) b18b1 great for boost etc etc...

PS every swap is a learning experience

most people say b series are easy to swap in, the cost of h22 is 2200 but htats not including the mount kit that you'd need, i had a b18 myself.. its ok.

Take your pick based on price and what you are doing with the car. Cant really go wrong with any of those listed.

No torque. You can build an allmotor application from a b 16 but it will suffer off the line.

To be honest do the H22a with a b series tranny and you will be smoking tires as long as you want.

h22a + ITR tranny = awesome

with b18c1 you get good torque,18 instead of 1.6 and tons of room to grow
