a mini me swap would be "fun" i guess. a B18B w/ B16 tranny will be alot quicker. a b18b with B16 tranny will run stay close with most b16 setups.

as long as its not stolen or something yea that a good deal. you can get a complete LS swap for around 800-1000 bucks depending on the miles on it. a b16 tranny will be expensive but you can try and work some trades with all the parts you will have as well

A COMPLETE B18 SWAP WITH B16 TRANNY IS A KILLER SETUP, FINDING A DECENT S4C IS GOING TO GIVE YOU A HEADACHE. S80,s COME A DIME A DOZEN.FOR A FOOR DOOR I'D RECOMMEND A S80..

Man we're just shitting on you, you need to hit the back button and click on the FAQ stickied up top. Theres tons of questions that can be answered there. There is a summary of all the swap and their pros and cons. Since you got it for 900 and its your first car, you should first fix the bugs with the car itself rather than worrying about speed. Your young and you're going to want to speed. Trust me you don't need a fast car. D series are enough for most people. You basically have a mini me which is almost as good as a D16Z6 so maybe if you could get an Si tranny which has shorter gear you'll be happy. Fix your suspension and get a normal set of wheels with some good tires and I think it will be money better spent.
If you still want to garbage the D series instead of researching how to fix it, then sell it and your best bet is a JDM D15B, D16Z6 or a B18A/B18B. They are easy to find and you can swap one for about 1000-1,500 if you want to do it right. So since you want to keep it under 800, get a D16Z6 for like 400 dollars and drop it in, get the ecu for it and get it going. Quick little reliable motor, I have one myself and I like it.
Remember, just research and don't be stupid and speed. People die from this, its called natural selection, the dumb die while the smart live on.
