there are a few tein Re's for ek for sale in classifieds for 1300 or so.. also a TEIN FLEX system.. as well as some ZEAL's b2 for 800 .. =P so much to choose from but I've been pretty happy with my tein SS's I would say to think of what purpose this suspension will be doing most of the time and go from there no reason to buy one that is 100000 adjustable if you will only set it up once or twice a year good luck

Zeal,Tein, JIC....which is the easiest to service if something wears out? Don't really feel like waiting to send stuff to Japan and back

I've seen threads where people have had work done on their coilovers by Tein USA, with good experiences. Zeal/Endless is also fairly well established here, and I'm sure they can do work in-country.

Tein type flex or SS wont be much better than the setup you have now. spend the $1600 and get the RA or Zeal B6.

Why use H&R springs??? He wants to upgrade from his current setup, I think H&R springs will be pretty similar to what he has with the only difference being that you cant adjust the ride height.

Go with the TEIN RA's, you wont regret it.

Think about what you're going to use these things for.

Do you actually need $1500 coilovers? Are you going to be a driving a dedicated track car? Or is this just going to be a weekend warrior?

I plan on getting suspension soon. I want Tein RAs, for the ultra stiff spring rates and semi baller factor. But the real question is, do I need something that ballsy? No, I'm not going to be tracking my car more than once or twice every three or four months, so the money I spend on those is going to be wasted based on the fact that I'm not out there so often.

Also, are you skilled enough for $1500 coilovers? Are you going to notice the difference between $800 SS or $1500 REs? Probably not (aside from the stiffness) if you're not that experienced.

How about Revalving/Shortening your Koni's ? And maybe getting higher spring rates from GC?

Or is the wait too long?

These are what I have on my car, they are pretty good, for 799.00, made in Japan by AZR, sorry don't not hi-jacking this thread, just want to show you what I have.

The specs:
1- 6 way rebound adjustable
2- front have helper springs with 10K springs
3- rear have 8K springs w/o helper springs
4- all 4 shocks are threaded body
5- all Aluminum bodies
6- Internal are Tokico parts, with 52mm pistons
7- all 4 shocks have adjustable body / won't loose suspension travel
8- all 4 shocks comes with Aluminum top mount ( pillow mount )

My buddy have the buddy Club, he spent 1300USD, and they are about the same in qaulity.

Here are some pictures, I am not much of an photographer, here they are

Rear Shock

Unwraped

Front w/helper springs

Pillow Mount

Rear w/ Works-spl Lower control arm

I have one thing that I didn't like is the gold anodize color
