The best catback exhaust system.
I need a new exhaust system for my 95 si. The one i have now sounds like a wet *** trying to gasp for air and it pisses me off everytime it goes above 4000 rpm. I wanted to kow from someone who has gone through more exhaust systems than i have (about 2, Dc and a no name pos). What is the best sounding and best quality exhaust for 500.00 or less. I want it to have a nice tone at high rpm, and also have some backpressure. Any "good" comments or experiences will be appreciated. Thanx.

Re: The best catback exhaust system. (2004es2)
ive been through a couple also i have a civic wiht a b18 type R swap and ive tried everything. First i went to skunk2 then greedy even to DC and everythign sounded like ****. so i really did fell like going threw the hole online ordering ordeal and i decied to just try the drift spec magna flow wich i know sounds pretty gay but it gives you a deeper more clearer sound. un like the other **** that sounds like bees in a can
oh and make sure when you get the hole system that you ask for the highflow cat if not you get a lower grade which is pretty close to stock

Best exhaust
If you're concerned about back pressure then that would be a function of the pipe diameter more than anything else.
For best sounding (I assume you mean non-raspy) and best quality (I assume you mean most durable) I recommend RS*R Ex mag. It has a deep tone and has no signs of rust after 3 winters on my EK here in NE.

This has been covered so many times man. SEARCH. It's all so opinionated that you're going to get a million different responses from people who like different exhaust systems. Go to youtube, listen to some clips, and search on honda-tech.

Re: (devney)
I have searched but the only thread that i found that was close to my question was in the 2001-2005 civic thread. I know this has probably been asked half a million times but i seriously need good input so i can make a good choice. I was thinking of the apexi ws2 but i will look for sound clips for the others mentioned so far. Also does it matter what the pipe is made of. for example is stainless going to make a sound difference compared to other metals??

Re: (2004es2)
Performance: custom/K-teller with a Magnaflow Oval muffler
Low Sound: Apex WS.
I had a Magnaflow catback a while ago and it was not raspy at all (probably because of the huge resonator), but still audible. My friend had a Apex WS on his SOHC turbo and I seriously couldn't hear him driving ever.
