im looking for the best cam for the buck not too much tho stock motor with i/h/e msd..and im currently looking for 88 integra piston in the junkyard if i cant find 1 then imma just use my stock 1..

Stock. Unless you plan to build the rest of the engine to take advantage of the cam.

i heard that if you use zc piston and get cam will be higher compression wouldnt it be faster not sure thats why im asking

Where did you "hear" that? Got a link to thread? It's a D-series. It will still be slow.

i heard it from a friend of a friend he has a d16z6 he said got some bolts on and zc piston and he race my friend integra and the integra got spanked i just wanna beat my friend integra bcuz he like talking **** about my car

if you want to beat your friends integra your best bet is to turbo because going N/A on a D series is nothing but a money pit.,,

If you use ZC pistons you will need a tune, it's not even semi-optional, compression will be through the roof, stock Z6 pistons are dished slightly, ZC pistons have a pretty wicked dome to them.

dont do the n2o for 150 do like 50 but if you really are serious about building a d you should start with the rods their only rated for like 200hp. i would go turbo, a cam, and a hondata s300 or some other proven engine management. you can also check out d-series.org and turbod.org. and damn they gots some hatas on here let the man build what he wants dont be so discouraging.

well he is saying he only wants to be faster then the integra its not like he is trying to get 300 whp with a single...so i think first he would need to let us know more about the integra first. Such as what model it is, and any mods done to the integra

This is the answer right here. Remove radiator cap, replace vehicle with race car, re-install radiator cap. Easy as that, guranteed to beat any street car. Lol.

On a serious note nitrous/homemade turbo kit will be your best bet. That is the direction I will be going. Why don't you learn how to drive and challenge him to a road course race? At least things might be more even.

well the integra is an ls with cold air intake ,dc header and test pipe with apexi n1 muffler thats it so i know i dont need much on this single cam to beat him..

SOHC is a money pit without boosting it. Turbo it and your friend won't even want to try you. Maybe you guys should try racing at a drag strip. Or if you'd really like to learn how to drive and prove skill > car then go to autocross together on the weekends and have fun legally.
