If i have bent axles, how can i tell for sure? the car vibrates when i accelerate. could it be somthing else??

vibration during acceleration is usually a sign of bad cv joints

if its durring acceleration- cv joint
if its durring crusing- wheels bent, bad balance, tire seperation
if its durring braking- you most likley have warped rotors

please correct me if im wrong

just dont get axles from pep boys.. iwent through this crap last month and even after three sets of axles from pep boys it was still vibrating. got a set from napa and it was perfect.

More likely, luck of the draw. I got a bad axle from NAPA the first time and the second was perfect.

To the original poster, I agree... most likely a bad CV joint.

yea, go to o'reillys or autozone or somethin like that, get a remanufactured cv axle, its like 60-70$. and put it in, its not that hard to install.
