Bench Bleeding the brake master cylinder
1997 Civic HX
question: How do you install the brake master cylinder after bench bleeding it without introducing air? Once you remove the plastic inserts for the bench bleed hose fittings to install the actual real hardline, isnt air instantly introduced ?
I’ve done complete front brake and rear brake jobs (rebuilt calipers, new rotors, pads, complete drum brake overhaul etc) on multiple cars, done alot alot of brake bleeding.
That being said, I am replacing all new brake lines front back (made them myself) and a new master cylinder.
I bench bled the master, keeping the plastic lines from bench bleeding installed and submerged in the brake fluid resevoir, I’ve mounted it to the booster. Now I have to take out the plastic bench bleeding pieces to install the actual hardlines. Before I finish, I want to ensure I understand conceptually why its not an issue for me to disconnect the plastic pieces to install the hard lines.
