Default Beaks Subframe Reinforcement Kit

Anyone else sell this kit besides JHPUSA.com? Im trying to see if anyone else has it cheaper, i cant justify paying almost 90 dollars for 4 little pieces of metal and bolts.

you may want to look into it a little more...
i don't know what your driving but, there has been more than one occurance of subframe tearout with the beaks kit when upgrading the rear sway...

From what I hear, A-spec is better...some people tore their subframe with the beaks kit..gets me worried cuz im thinkin of upgrading my sway bar as well.

So where's the hook-up? I'd be interested if you could make a set for my friend's 98 Civic.

I wonder if they have a guarentee that it wont break the subframe, this is my baby, I dont want anything happening where it might jeprodize the structural integrity of the frame by rewelding something back on.

Take a look at that. As someone else stated and I would have to agree the A-Spec product may be a better choice. I think that is what I will do when I get around to upgrading.

there's a lot of speculation that u must run the beaks kit with a particularly stiff spring rate to avoid the tear out. I've had mine for about 2 years no problems. My rear spring rate is 7K

Im running Tanabe Sustec DF210 springs and the spring rate is 4.5 Front 3.0 Rear. I dont have any rust on my car either

So do you think i should get the beaks kit or the a-spec? where can i purchase the a-spec kit also?

Not really speculation... I mean, your suspention is stiffer than stock right? I dont know stock numbers.

Stiff suspension makes it so the suspension doesnt move as much, and therefore doesnt put as much stress on that bar and mounting points... I dont think you need beaks at all, it appears to add surface contact area by only half an inch, or a square inch, that is not enough to be sufficient.

Let me guess, you dont really drive that hard with your setup?

Read through the tread that I posted. In there you can find a few opinions on them and also a link to the A-spec website.

wow thats a big difference but the Aspec kit also spreads the load of the subframe more, and it might add ridigity to the frame as well. But the price is very different too, but you get what you pay for in these situation.
