Default Battle of the Motor Oils... Red Line vs. Royal Purple

which oil is the best regardless of price? i have heard red line can actually give extra horsepower but i have also heard that royal purple is one of the best oils out there. what do you guys think?

Never had a problem with Mobil 1. Plus, when you can get it from Wal-Mart for $20.00/ 5 quarts, it's hard to go wrong with that.

Bad for catalytic convertors, good for engines.
