Optima yellow top. I think they go for 150-200$. If you want, throw in a 1 farad capacitor. But if you're running a seriously upgraded sound system, you might want to invest in a higher output alternator.

I hate that battery. Yeah it holds the power and performans great but what if it dies? What if you leave the light on or something? Can your recharge them? NO! Just gotta throw them out after.

Yea, i say just go with a upgraded alternater and a 1 farad capacitor.......the battery main use is to start the car anyway and if you listen to your system when the car is off then the cap should take care of the power distribution to your amp and you wont have to worry about your battery dieing.....atleast not for a good while....

if you invest into a charger that has a setting for a gel cell battery, then you wont have a problem with an optima. i had one in my jeep with 1500 watts hooked up to it along with 100w daylighters. it still started in 40 below weather. i charged it up quite a few times when i left my stereo on or such. just like adding water to batteries before and after you charge a lead cell battery. people dont take care of their batteries, so thats why they die.
