battery for just alarm

Default battery for just alarm

so i got a battery for free from an integra and thought i'd hook it up for my alarm..right now everything is ran off one battery..so im just asking if do i just need to find the power from the alarm, cut it, then hook it up to the second battery?..also will it work with my turbo timer? thanks

Whatever you do make sure both batteries share the same common ground.

yeah, u can hook it up to ur 2nd battery... but i wouldn't cut it from ur original battery. i'd leave it hooked up to both of them by just tapping a line and running it to the 2nd battery. that way the thieves have to disconnect both. ur best bet though would be to get a backup battery for the alarm itself. it's small enough to get hidden in the dash where a thief wouldn't find it.
