Bar help!
I have a 93 hatch with a JDM gsr swap and ive had it for almost a year now. Its still not registered and i figure its about time.. ha. I was told in order to pass ill need to buy a USDM ECU, USDM header.. and what are the other things i need? I also have a hi-flow cat and the stock civic muffler. My CAI is CARB legal i should be cool with that right? Any and all help is MUCH apprieciated. Thanks.

emissions, emissions, emissions,
compare what you have to the USDM version
you need legal exhaust, ecm, and the evap system (due to pollution, obviously)
your '93 is OBD1 so keep it all USDM OBD1 and you'll GTG
and
no on the gas tank, because it's still USDM stock right?
you really need to pass the smog and visual and you should be good to go.
the more OEM the better
right
just don't go up there w/ the hi-flow!
got pics?

these guys are the most pickiest ppl ever...the ref. i went to was tripping about my evap purge sol being a civic one instead of a gsr...they will print out pictures of wutever they are looking for and compare it to the one u have..if it doesnt look the same then they will start giving u **** about it not being from that engine or just fail u.
ur vtec sol should have a green plug on it which is the pressure switch..most likely if u run a USDM ecu and u still have the gsr vtec sol. then it will throw a code for the pressure switch.
just make sure u have no check engine lights, stock everything and carb #s for wutever aftermarket u have cuz they WILL check the #s to make sure..set ur timing to 16 degress +/- 2degrees...all ur vacuum hoses are correct., vss works cuz the ref i went to told me he was gonna drive my car around to make sure the spedo was working but i failed so he didnt...

-get a USDM vtec solenoid
-tap the vtec pressure switch signal wire into the vtec solenoid signal wire to fool the ECU.
