ball joint
i have a 93 civic ex, i was taking out the tranny and one of my buddies wanted to help- so i put him on axle duty i showed him how to do it on the pass side, the come the drivers side he said he had it and next i know is that he hammered the tip of the ball joint and mushroomed the tip..... so how bad am i screwed?????

I think its only like $30 for a new joint. Only problem is you need a press to get it out . I would take the lca off and take to a shop to have it done.

worst of all i was not even the one who messed it up onm my own car, but i am not sweating it cause he is a good buddie,. so the ball joint is $100.00????

so i should just by those gsr brakes i can get for 100? instead of replacing the ball joint on my ex brakes

I mushroomed mine.
You need to get a die and fix the threads. When mine was mushroomed kinda, it would start to thread on, and then keep on spinning. I took my impact gun to it and held it on, finally it spun on faster than the joint was spinning. Problem fixed!
I also dremiled some of the threads on the bottom

i would just buy the brakes cause you are probley going to want to do a upgrade later, so it i up to you i am just giving you my oponion, cause i would go with bigger brakes!!
