I have a 92-95 civic Ex with a d16z6 engine. My 3rd gear has been grinding for a long time now, and just lately its been grinding every time when I put it into 3rd gear at low RPM's and high. I can also feel it struggle to go into 4th now. I am woundering what I should do about this problem. I thinking about getting a new tranny very soon. Any advicee people?

You can rebuild the one you have or get another. It's a common problem with our trannies.

Rebuild or Buy a new one

If you can do it yourself the rebuild won't cost you much at all. Just seems like your sychros are done for. With a "new" tranny you are kinda gambling as to how many miles are on it unless you buy from Honda directly.

it's not that hard to do it yourself. do you have any buddy's that have any experience with tranny's?
