Default backlight in civic gauges

searching around on HT i found a post where a integra change the bulbs in the gauges and made the back light red. i was wondering if i can do this to a 95 Civic Si?

I found this picture on HT. I think it's from a integra.. http://community.webshots.com/storag...vzCeEZb_ph.jpg

all I have to say is good luck finding that size bulb, until it is released I suggest getting some paint from a hobby shop and painting them red yourself

I did my civic backlights green w/ some stained glass paint (works good + doesn't melt) on my civic bulbs (1993 Civic Si). As far as I've seen, nobody's got a bulb for them (its like a mini-194 bulb). Now, I gota gsR cluster I'm toying w/ and it has the same bulbs, but the main lights (behind speedo, etc...) are the regular wedge 194 bulbs (you can get those in about any color you want). Hope this helped some.

[EDIT]
also a good trick, the plastic rings around the gauge faces - paint those also the same color you're using. It'll come out better.

if you can't find the right size bulbs, you can make your own. All you need to do is go to a craft store and find some stained glass paint (made by Krylon) it comes in red, blue, green, yellow. and jus follow the directions. i used to use them on the taillight bulbs in my Civic when I had clear taillights. Just a thought
