Default B20Z Info

i have a 90 civic hb and i been looking into the B20Z motor for sumtime now and
i just wanted to get an ideal of how it will performe in my car and price range of what to look for

is it true that they will have 2 cut my fire wall back?

Shop around, you may be able to get a b20 longblock for $800, you'll still need tranny, axles, ecu, intake manifold mounts and prolly a cable to hydro tranny kit. Yes you will need to cut your firewall and throw out your rear seats, j/k NO you will not need to hack up your firewall, try the search feature for b20 info, if you're in cali, a b20 cannot be CARB legalized, because it is classified as a light truck motor.

just scooped up a b20z longblock with 24k on it for 1200 shipped.... Was that too high? thanks

no need for a cable hydro conversion. just use a cable tranny and your set.

I think that's a little high, when B20 longblocks go for $700-$900 + shipping (around $150-$200 for just longblock) but that's just from what I see. But if it's in good shape, then that's not bad for a B20Z motor, but don't pay more than that for a B20B/Z longblock when many importers & shops sell them for $700-$900.
