B20vtec's EM1 Mercedes Polar White Project
Here I will post up to date photos of of my car as I change or modify things..This isn't a build its more of a little project I'm acquiring things for along the way. I don't want to strip into it to much..
1999 Civic Si
I buy and sell Honda's, Acura's, XJ'S.
I had just sold a 96 Civic hatch I bought in Lebanon, Pa so the hunt for a new flip was in my head. searching craigslist 12 hours a day until something caught my eye. I ran across a few EG hatches with the typical quarter rust..couple more hatches ect ect. Ran across this Ad out towards Pittsburgh area, "99 civic si Mercedes polar white". clicked the ad, saw the price and started to talk to the owner. we negotiated a price and that night I was on my way to pick it up!
Car was super clean. it is a legit full color change *but the bay. Bay is black. all original 114k b16a2 and trans. ac, ps, cruise all the works. mint interior.
Carbon hood, is about the only thing other then cheapy intake.
had no plans for the car but to just drive it. was on losing spring, until I ran across a nice set of Tein coilovers
rides real nice now and isn't super slammed. PA roads can tend to new pretty harsh. I wanted a subtle height!
thought about lowering a hair but im I'm happy with it.
Had a 94 Xj stashed for re sale. had a friend who needed a winter driver who just so happened to had built a semi built B20 Vtec motor for his EG, sadly the vehicle was in a collision shortly after the build. after weeks of tossing around ideas on a trade we finally came down to a agreement and I picked up the engine.
B20b4 block with Z rods and pistons
ARP everything!
GSR head, Skunk 2 pro series intake and alpha 68mm TB.
type R rep header. ect ect..
At this time I was driving the car around. pulled out of a local gas station and heard some clanking bang noises...differential took a sh*t on me..
rebuilt it with all carbon coated synchrotech synchros
and threw an LSD in it.
LSD
All fresh and ready to go in
out with the old, yes i know there is still some red... haha
Got a full BWR catch can set up that was pretty much brand new as part of our deal. I skipped a good bit of little taking in and out details but this was just finished last weekend. 11/29ish/16
Its alive! on a b16 ecu haha. putted it up my street and back to the garage. the jumper my friend threw in was for obd2a not B. so ordered anothed one fornthe chipped obd1 ecu i was given. The b16 is healthy and safe from miles in my garage. AND the B20 has AC, Power sterring and Cruise! sounds super healthy and very torquey.
Took it for a drive after i put the new jumper in just the other day. much better but is getting parked for winter and converting the car to E85.
So far I've added TPR adjustable Cam gears from fellow HT member.
Winter plans are ID 1000's, 450 Pump, Rail and regulator.

Re: B20vCRX's EM1 Mercedes Polar White Project
Tried playing around with the lines off my VC and a weld cracked..actually they both did
Picked this up off of craigslist for a steal. going to my local aluminum welder to have my fittings welded in and then off to the powerder coater.
thinking a nice pearl orange with the silver lettering..
will be a couple of weeks due to christmas shopping. iv told myself to put a stop on this for a few weeks haha.

Yeah nice color, hard to keep clean with hood exit. I bought the kit used off my buddy and that's how his set up was so I went with it. I like it but it's a little flashy for cops and always covering it up if it rains.
