Ok I have a b20 vtec. It ran fine for 2 years then it started a puddling and what not, i used my old ecu and runs good but it sprays to much fuel and can only go up to 4000rpm. I ran it like that for a long time then one day I put regular gasoline instead of premium and my car started turning off and back firing a lot. It runs good with the old ecu that goes to 400 rpm but when I put the old one on again it starts puddling with rough idle. I don't know what can be wrong. I ordered a brand new ecu and it turns on rough and cuts right off

Sounds like you need to have it actually tuned instead of running off a basemap... and when was the last tune-up?
