im doing a b20b non vtec swap in to my 93 civic hatch!
the stock intake manifold is way tooo big to fit under the hood,
i have already lifted the back of the hood up about 1in and if i were to make it any higher it would look funny.

what intake manifold do i use because the bolt pattern is odd?

an ls manifold should work

Yeah that IM is huge. The "giraffe". Just pick up a B20z or LS IM. They go for pretty cheap.

You could also run a B16 or Type-R but those usually go for more.

would i be able to use one from a 2000 si.
i have a 1990 ls one but the bolt pattern is wrong for it.
and can i sue the b20b throttle body on an ls one?

I saw the guys @ Rywire just milled the intake @ an angle. This brought the top of the manifold down a bit. I don't know how much you need ot to come down but..... Check out the build thread he started and see what he did. Then you don't have to worry about the tb not fitting. This was a K into a crx btw.

VTEC and Non-VTEC intake manifolds are not interchangeable
i think throttle bodies are all the same though

vtec doesnt make a different, it's in the head casting. P72, PR3 and PR4 heads need different manifolds

the b20b is smaller then the ls. i think it will fit but i would not use it.

I wouldn't bother with the LS manifold, don't know why so many people say to do it. The B20Z manifold off the 99-01 model makes better power, i have 1st hand experience with this with a swapped EK. Clearance is good too!
