Default B20 Turbo questions..................

I have a few questions. I was concidering a b20 turbo setup in my 92 cx hatch. Is it possible to use the greddy turbo kit with a b series turbo manifold? I guess what I am asking is, can everything stay the same, and just swap the d-series manifold with a b series? I would get the kit for the 92-95 civic d16z6 right? JUst asking bacause the greddy kit is really cheap for this car, and I figured the manifold would be the only difference.

Or would I need to get the kit for the integra ls? I just need some quick answers, please do not try to get me to make an ls/vtec or something like that. I know how people are.

-thanks

No you cannot swap D series parts with B series. B series parts are interchangeble with other B series (B16, B18, B20). Cannot be swapped onto a D series (D16Y)

Oh I see. A Greddy D16 turbo kit onto a B series and just use a B series manifold.
In that case IDK.

that's what i wanted to do. I like the smaller turbo so that it will spool quicker then the one for the b16 and b18, but i'll tyr to email them so see what the say about just switching the two turbo manifolds, even if they say I have to pay $200 more I'll dtill do it.
*They say with the greaddy d-series turbo manifold there is plenty of material to port it out to it the b-seires blocks but i don't want to take such a getto cheap route, plus i don't even thinks that safe.

All you would have to change is the manifold. Or port and slot it. I have a picture of the overlay if you'd like to see the clearance of the porting. Just email if you want the pic. sntjones@thegrid.net

bad idea. the reason why you want a b20 is because it has more displacement right? that means you can run a larger turbo. the sohc turbo is pretty small (td04). the b-series greddy turbos are td05. its pointless to run a turbo that small. besides, the b-series is only like $500 more.

You can do it. But the pipeing would be different. Your better off buying the parts seperate.
