Hey everyone at honda tech, i have a b20z in my civic and my starter just went out. I went to autozone and I got a starter for a 2000 crv (since thats were my engine came from) but it seems its too long and wont fit. I thought all b-sereis starters were interchangeable so should I just get a starter for a 2000 civic si. Any suggestions or advice is appreciated thanks.

from what i've read. all b series starts are the same, but i guess hydro starters a different. not sure if that helps, but i say take back that autozone one, and get a used starter somewhere else

i would take it back and bring your old starter with you. tell them the issue and ask to see the si starter and see if its the same

You can't use the stock CRV starter because you either have a LS, GSR, or B16 tranny mounted on to your B20z. Any manual starter from a 90-01 Integra, 94-97 del Sol VTEC, 99-00 Civic Si will bolt on and work properly with your swap.
