b20 questions
anyone know a good place to pick up a b20z/b? i think i wanna go that way instead of b16a. i will have to put the swap together myself right, unless someone sells full swaps. how much am i looking at spending to do this? i dont live in a place where its easy to get all these parts. thanks. also, recommendations on where to get one, hondamotorsonline, nippon, any experience with them or others?

Re: b20 questions (CoffeCan)
Unfortunately, i'm in the middle of this swap right now, and i'm sorta backed up against a wall at the moment. The easiest way to do this swap is to buy and entire and complete LS swap and then just buy the b20 longblock later.
I tried piecing one together and the axles, mounts, linkage, cables, hoses, flywheel, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, clutch, all this adds up really quickly, and I had already jumped in over my head and bought the b20 longblock first thing. So now i'm waiting on my ls swap to come off the boat from japan. In about 2 weeks when it's all here, i'll add it all up and give a total/detailed explination of the swap on here, but look for it to be in the ~$3000 range when it's all done.
I think if I could do it over again I just would have bought a GSR swap, and never fucked with it again. But then again, i'm kinda bitter right now.

Re: b20 questions (blufke)
what wiring if any do i have to do with a b20z/b in a 92 vx. which ecu would be best. is it just the knock sensor if i get the z version? every time ive gone to the ias site to look at their inventory and prices the page never works.

Re: b20 questions (blufke)
how does 2400 sound for a b20 swap with gsr tranny? it comes with everything. is that a good price? will the gsr shift linkage work for a gsr tranny in 92 vx? or do i need the del sol one?

b20 lb's ~$800-1200
gsr trannys ~$1200- most places.
so if it's really a complete setup, it's a great deal, but all the little things add up quick as hell.

Re: b20 questions (Plan B)
should be somewhere around that price. im getting it for the torque too. im amazed at the time that guy just posted with i/h/e and cams/valvetrain. 13.2 on slicks amazing. i should beat b16a hatches shouldnt i? i will have like 25 more ft. lbs than they do. what intake manifold would you guys recommend? im thinking skunk2, or would that be a waste(is it designed for high rpm?). i will be boosting eventually, so i want a header but i will just replace it with a turbo manifold. it basically comes down to i dont know how long till ill be boosting and i dont want to dumb 800 bux on a header and exhaust that wont be good for turbo later. recommendations?

Re: b20 questions (blufke)
any other stock b-series header is far superior to the b20 header, it's a nasty piece of stamped metal. jdm itr header is the best for the money if you can find one cheap.
Yeah, i'll do a damn back-flip if my car gets 14's with this swap from the begining.
