Default B18C5 Intake Manifold for my B16A2

What are the advantages of installing the type R manifold into my Si head?

maybe I should of asked this before I bought the damn thing...haha...and with the Type R Intake Manifold, what should I bore my Throttle Body to? 62mm or 64mm?

Anyone done this before? ...will I notice any difference at all? ...maybe faster Rpms cause of short runners?

It is essentially a Skunk2 im. They are almost exactly the same. If you go to http://www.skunk2.com, I think they have dyno sheets for certain cars, but I don't know if they have any for our cars. I have heard from others that have dyno'd their cars that you lose a little low end, but gain a little in the top end.

who cares if it makes your car faster...your one part closer to being full blown JDM y0. Type rrrrrr intake mani is the way to go. But yea they are right and it will give you a little more up top. It is a better IM then you have currently!

Maybe 1 or 2 peak horsepower and a curve that shifts your peak torque further away from the lower RPM where you actually need it. It's a bad investment unless you've got big cams or forced induction, as the stocker is designed to keep your powerband in the shape most conducive to daily driving.

If you're looking for something that's going to take a few tenths off your E.T. you failed. If you wanted to do something to your motor and had some cash burning a hole in your pocket, you succeeded. I hope you're turbocharged, because every $50 you spend is one step further away from having a B16 that actually puts out a functional amount of torque

theres a dyno comparison on here somewhere

that shows how shitty a type r manifold is

compared to ur stock 1 without upgrades to
compliment it & a higher redline to actually take advantage of it

just because its type r doesnt make it better 4 ur setup
