I have a 94 eg si, i want to go all motor and was wondering what the best platform for my car was. i saw a guy hit 13.3 with a b18c5 with basic bolt on, but i found a 98 b18c1 for a pretty decent deal. my goal is to be in the low 13 high 12's. any info is greatly appreciated

well c1 is cheaper but i believe that the c5 is better.

personally i would just turbo charge what you got.

my friend hit 13.2 with a c1 w/ bolt ons and ctr cams and 6 puck w/ slicks

keep what you got, turbo it, build the motor...you'll spend about the same you spent on the c5, but have double the horsepower

the c5 is certainly the better engine for performance, but get whatever you can afford. Both can be fast.

C5 = hand built motor from Honda
C1 = less great motor from Honda

If you can afford it, the C5 is great. If not, get the C1.
