There is a thread at the very top of this forum that is titled engine swap info & faqs...it provides some pretty good base info on basically any motor you would want to put in your car. Everyone is going to have their own opinions about which engine is best so I would suggest reading through that thread first so you can make up your own mind, it is your car. But to answer your question I think I had the money definitely go with the b18c5 for sure it is a badass motor, and would kill in your hatch!!! and welcome

The C5 makes more then the C1, but you're basically paying for the Type-R name.
You pick.

If you have the money, you should have the brains to search. Go into the FI forum and look at all the Boosted *** threads. LS/GSR/Type-R/D series/B series...they're all over
Alot of people have set ups yielding ~300whp that run reliably every day, with a good tune. Others however, have cars that have blown up the moment they got off the dyno

B-series is more basic stuff, motors mounts, and wiring vtec if your shell isn't already.

what do you plan on doing with the car? Driving it daily just a track car or what. that will also help determine what swap is good for you. But im with alot of people if money's not a option go Kseries.

B18c1 because its cheaper, it has more compression than the c5, if you cam out a c1 you can get alot more for alot less, just go on ebay buy skunk 2 stage 2 cams n u'll never regret that, or better yet go LS Vtec like im doing, but any time that u wanna boost a car if your running more than 10-12 psi then u gonna have to get internals for the engine or u gonna blow it up...

LS/VTEC unless done properly has big problems with oil lines. And you CAN NOT say an engine is going to blow at 10-12 PSI. PSI is only a measurement, 12PSI on a T-25 is waaayyy different then 12PSI on a GT35.

Re: (awdgsx96)
yea i think he might of got that backwards the c5s got higher, but if i wanted to go turbo id problly go with the c1 and turbo the **** out of it. or the c5 with low comp pistons like you said and go easy with the turbo. also correct me if im wrong but i think ive herd that people have had problems with turboing the vtec..
