not bad i would recommend more of a 9.1 ratio myself as far as head gasket i would go with the oem one.

dont bother getting a b16 head. b18c head is better for boost anyways. (but you will get some arguements about this) especialy if plan on down the road goin up to 9k rpm. but if you end up just porting it out it wouldnt matter what head. get wiseco pistons 8.8 comp. get a gooood turbo

^^ damn rick you go from thread to thread posting you bullshit. You dont want 8:8 ration because like the OP then you wont have any power on the lower RPMs.

Wow know you were a dumb *** do you not see my signature. Vartar build is very popular amongst honda owners. On another note what the hell does your post mean after your car?

As stated above. Post this question in the forced induction section and you'll get much better responses from people who actively produce/run FI vehicles.

^^To answer your question the oem headgasket is actually very well made and can handle qute a bit of power. My friend mike in my friends is planning on make 600whp with his and its been done numerous times. I do have an after market one that is thicker so it'll lower my compression.

Now that you mention it, it probably won't be a bad idea. I myself have a inline pro 2mm headgasket. One word of advice dont by a hook off or a cheap one.

i have a turbo gsr build
oem head gasket.
i ported and polished the head(gsr head)
Supertech dual valve springs and titanium retainers
Crane stg1 cams
Stock ignition
1000cc injectors
Tuning on crome
Stock tranny.
Turbonetics turbo
Made close to 380hp on 10lbs
Stock oem HG from Honda will handle quite a bit of boost like 20lbs. Iv haven’t been up that high yet. But from talking to people here localy doing 10s 11s they all use oem HG.

WTF guys this isn't post your setup thread.

OP like I said i would recommend a thicker headgasket just to lower the compression alittle.
