B18B vtec head swap
alright, so i finally got a honda, its a 96 honda civic sedan with a B18B/LS trans swap that i got for $400. the timing belt on it snapped and i assumed the valves/pistons would be ruined, so i took the head off to inspect the damage.
turns out i got lucky, both the valves and the pistons are all fine. now i have 2 questions
1. what would i need to put a B16 or GSR head on it at this point? (other than the head itself of course)
and 2. whats a good book or website where i can find all the torque values/reassembly procedures for putting the LS head back on the car so i can at least get it running/driving? or if any of you guys know, just tell me. i already have a new timing belt and im assuming ill just need a new headgasket and head bolts correct?
this is the car, im not a fan of the wheels on it either, but they do have almost new tires and for $400 for a swapped honda lowered on kyb shocks and eibach springs with a full headerback exhaust i wasnt complaining, ill probably just put some steelies or some type of OEM wheels on it eventually

haynes and chilton repair manuals are always good. as far as internet, i would just say search and see what you come with.
like the stock look too. what plans do you have for it?

if i end up keeping it though the only cosmetic changes will be new wheels, probably 99-00 si wheels, GSR wheels or steelies of some sort.

I don't think the wheels look that bad. As for the vtec head its not a good idea to just slap a vtec head on an ls block and call it a day. You really should at the very least get some arp rod bolts and get the bottom end rebalanced. Id do plenty of searching on how to build an lsvtec before you even buy any parts to do it.

and im the type of person who has something sorted out 100 times before i even think about buying parts for it haha. the only reason i bought the car is i know i could make money off it regardless of what i do to it because i got it so cheap

Re: B18B vtec head swap
alright, so to get it running again with just the LS head so i can drive it. i would only need a new headgasket and head bolts and to put it back together, correct?
and when i pulled the head off, some of the rockers popped out. is it okay if theyre not in the same order when i put them back in? or do they have to be in the same spot as before like in a v8 with a flat tappet cam?
