Default B18a Motor help

Hey everyone new to the forums. Not that smart in cars, i know some stuff but not all. I need help to know if a 92 integra B18a motor and tranny will fit into a 92 civic hatchback?? Want to know because i have a b18a motor and tranny in my garage and want to buy a hatchback shell, but before i buy i want to know if it will fit. thanks in advance, i know you guys will help me. go easy on me thanks

I suggest you check out the stickies at the top of this forum. All the info you need to know about swapping engines is there. As for your question, the answer is yes.

yes it will fit, but you will need a new wiring harness, new rear mount and driver side motor mounts, new axles, and well yea just read the sticky posts at the top

the 92 integras have cable tranny and the civic has hydro

your right the Integras are cable, but if you get a B18b tranny (or LS if you wish) then you can just put that on the A1 block and everything from the civic will match up no problem with the b18b tranny.

B18A1 blocks are cheaper then b1 block, but everything from A1 will match with B1....

if that makes sense....

Pickup a hydrolic transmission, then pickup the shell.


Feel free to read the write-up I made in my Signature to help guide you with what you need to do the swap, the B18A and B18B's are identical motors, the OBD1 B18A motors just have 2hp less.
