B18 Swap
I getting a B18B put in my new project (93 CX), and I want to source all of the parts. Right now this is all I can think of for parts.
1. Engine
2. Transmission
3. ECU
4. Linkages
5. Axles
6. Mounts
These are the following parts I need to replace:
1. Timing Belt
2. Head Gasket
3. Hoses, fluids
4. Spark Plugs, Wires
5. Cap & rotor
6. Radiator
7. Clutch
I'm not installing the engine myself. I would do it myself, but I don't have the time. I just want to make sure this is everything I need. Is there anything else? The engine I found is 96, I want to keep it OBD I, so do I need to just buy a OBD I ECU or do I need to just keep it OBD II? Thanks

Re: B18 Swap (ptran13)
Pretty sure if it's an OBD2 engine in an OBD1 car, you're going to have a wiring nightmare making the two work, costing you more money.
It can be done, but I'd go with an OBD1 engine, or use and OBD1 harness and convert everything over to work, plus get an OBD1 ECU...
I also wouldn't worry about the head gasket. Just do a compression and leakdown test. If it's good, don't worry about it...
Just my opinion. Correct me if I'm wrong.
