b16a3 into 92 cx
im an ef guy doing a swap for my buddy...alright well we finally got the motor and mounts...but im concerned about the brackets...we have the rear one from a teg...as for the driver.can we use the bracket from the del sol or do we need another teg bracket? what about the tranny bracket? i heard u can use the stock civic..is this correct?
also the wiring...i was told that the 92 cx comes wired for vtec from the factory...is this true? the stock engine harness is all messed up so he needs a new one...can we use the one from the sol? can i buy another stock one and mod it? or someone said something about a teg being plug n play...i searched around a bit but am really strapped for time...any help would be appreciated...thanks

i forgot to mention...he also got the linkage from the del sol...will that work or does he need something else?
and the ac mount...does he need to keep that or can we just discard it?

how important are the left and right front mounts?
so the side engine mount needs to be from a teg, the del sol one wont work?

the del sol shift linkage will not work. but you can use the wiring harness off a del sol. even better if its from a del sol Si or VTEC.

its best to use existing wiring and wire in vtec but if wiring is bad is a different story and you cant go wrong with teg mounts

Integra GSR or Type-R linkage. Hasport makes a brand new linkage that will. can find it on http://www.jhpusa.com it was $140 last time i check on there.

i can use the stock civic tranny bracket
use an integra rear bracket
the dohc del sol's shift linkage wont work
things im not sure about:
will the driver side bracket from the del sol work on the eg or do i for sure need one from a teg?
will the engine wire harness from the del sol work on the cx? if so does it need to be modded or is it plug n play
other than those two things i think the swap should be pretty straightforward...thanks again for the replys

oh yeah i forgot...he got the ecu and the axles from the del sol as well
im pretty sure that the axles will fit but would like to know for sure so we dont run into any problems on swap day...
we can use the ecu as well right?

ecu choices:
pr3 from 92-93 integra rsi or xsi, p30 or a modded p28 for b16a, p61 or p28 for b17a or 94-95 pr4 for a b18a work
CX will need to convert to 4 wire O2
94 and up teg shift linkage
upper radiator hose = 94 del sol vtec
lower hose = 94 del sol vtec
throttle cable = 92 gsr
axles = 90-01 teg but shaft seal for trans side is different for 90-93 teg axles, 94-97 del sol vtec axles or 99-00 si axles
Hasport mount kit # ='s M92-b16-10 cable conversion included with kit to use s1, j1,y1,ys1, and a1 tranies

the ecu is a p30 so it should work fine then...
how do i go about converting the o2 to 4 wire? ( the motor came with the engine harness...already has a 4 wire o2 sensor....just trying to figure out if the engine harness off the a3 will work with the cx chassis harness)

94-97 Del Sol VTEC axles only, the delsol with a b16 O.E. make sure that they are the b16 O.E. equipped Del Sol axles.
the b16 harness does come with 4 wire O2 setup, but the CX chassis doesn't. Search for a how-to on that.

Not sure. sorry... have you searched it? all my info is just from reading books, I don't even have a honda

yes all the parts i have mentioned before came from a factory b16 del sol....
i got aftermarket mounts, but the mounting brackets are all OE...
so far u are the only one who has said the linkage will work...have u actually used b16 del sol linkage on a b powered eg?
still unsure about the engine harness and axles though...
