B16A2 w/ JRSC in my EJ
B16A2 w/ JRSC in my EJ...
Just wanted some opinions on this set up. I am putting the motor in, in like 2 weeks. I wanted some opinions on reliability, and expected whp.
Also, should I put this motor in first or should I take it apart first and inspect it be install. Should I have problems passing emissions?
One last question. Do I need to build motor to run 9psi?

Re: B16A2 w/ JRSC in my EJ (2CAMSAAM)
reliable....yes
wheel hp about 180 if your lucky
it's an a2 which means 99-00 so it should be low milage...fine for 6psi
everything stock (fuel pressure, 6psi, vafc settings) you should pass e-check no problem.
yes you should build the motor for 9psi due to the extra heat of the s/c.

My friend has that set up...well, close.
Basically, first gen motor, crower retainers and springs..milled 20 thousandths.
Basically, he is boosting at 11lbs right now.
It rips..really quick. No problems at all

Dont need to build the bottom end for 9 psi....I ran 9psi in my 00 Si for 30K,no problems.Go for it youll love the power youll have.Just get it on a dyno and see where A/F is and youll be fine...BTW at 9 psi my B16a2 made 219whp/146 lbs/ft.
