Default b16a2 small build

My car burns oil and throws out alot of white smoke...ive come to the conclusion that my rings are done. So since i gotta take apart the motor i might as well upgrade, on ebay i saw this company nippon racing selling some ctr pistons for a really good price. Can i just replace my stock pistons with those and not have to change anything else on the block? Im also thinking of putting on a thinner headgaket and type r cams. This is a lil budget build i dont want to get too crazy.

Here are the pistons: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-C...Q5fAccessories

just replace the pistons back to stock. you dont want to throw in junk parts. if anything just get some kind of cams ctr or somthing.

CTR = Civic Type R
ITR = Integra Type R

Not to be a ***** but seriously dude... It's called google... or even wikipedia has it.

X3 for the GSR block w/ CTR cams.
Add in a good tune and you're set.

why does our thought count.. in the end, its up to you.... we gave you advice (GSR block) and you still don't know which one to get...

Gsr block- bigger liter, better torque number... poor man type r b18c/b16 head

b16 block- smaller liter, less torque, high compression but makes no power...

You cant just put a b16 head on a GSR block you will lose power due to compression loss. You need to use ITR pistons or other higher compression pistons...

Why would it be called anything if it lost power? A poor mans type r is a b16 head, a gsr block and Type-R pistons. All of that would still be cheaper than buying a type-r motor...
