Default b16a2 into 93 del sol

i have a 93 del sol. i just swapped a jdm b16a2 into it. problems i have with it is how do i install a knock sensor, is 94 del sol VTEC axle ok and i have a lsd on the tranny. it came stock. but i'm not sure if both the axle should spin together at the same time when rotating one of them or if your going and one wheel loses trackion then the other wheel will pick up tracktion. on the knock sensor problem, i dont know where the plug at and where inside the car do i hook it up to. opinion will greatly be appreciated and any other opinion about swaping a b16 in to a del sol will also be appreciated. thanks

you have to look for the wiring diagram for a knock sensor and then wire it up. the picture is floating around here somewhere.

hmm ok where to start

first there is not such thing as a JDM b16a2. B16a2 is out of a 96-97 del sol vtec and 99-00 Civic SI.

to make sure it has LSD look through the hole where you put the axels into the tranny , if there is a bar going through it then its not LSD, if it doesnt it is. LSD will make both tires spin at the same time

any 94-00 integra, 94-97 del sol vtec, or 99-00 SI axle will work

knock sensor is below the intake manifold above the oil filter, and it goes to pin D6 on the ecu

hope that helps

he's probably referring to 2nd gen b16 which is obd1 already. Like previous reply said check through hole if it goes straight through. only one wheel should move when if you have lsd

there was never a b16a2 made that was obd1, you can be using a obd1 ecu and dizzy but b16a2 was only put in 96+ civic/ del sol

b16a2 is definitely the usdm 99-00 civic si motor
b16a3 is definitely the usdm del sol motor
any other responses and you are tripping.

B16A3 = USDM del Sol and atleast 2000 Si
B16A2 = JDM del Sol (SiRII) = OBDI = What he's talking about

Scroll down on that page, it's a typo, or a dumb editor who cares more about some ricey exhaust than the engine

"The Car: 2000 Civic Si
The Owner: Chris Castillo
Engine Tested: B16A2
Applications: '00 CIVIC Si
Common Swaps: del Sol, Civic "

And a real JDM engine doesn't have a number after the A

ok this is how it goes
96-97 Del sol VTEC has obd2a b16a2
94-95 Del sol VTEC has obd1 b16a3
99-00 SI had obd2b b16a2

There is no such motor as a JDM b16a2
now there are versions of jdm b16s but they just go by obd1, obd0, obd2 etc...

Just like the other guys said, JDM motors dont have numbers after the last letter

And Import Tuner is ******* dumb if they think that the 99-00 SI came with a b16a3, i bet it was a typing error

right, my SiRII doesn't have a number after the letter A...per hmo when i bought the motor and superhonda.com the SiRII is a JDM B16A2...*shrug*...all i know is the guy is asking about a SiRII (i assume, hence the "jdm B16A2" he said) which is infact OBDI...

import tuner could have very well fucked up, again *shrug*

in a sense a "SIR2" JDM b16a is the same as a b16a3 being obd1, but the jdm is rated at just a little more power

all b16a2's are obd2

it may have one, but not from the factory
they never made a b16a3 in obd2B only obd2a(96-98)

all 99-00 SI's came with b16a2
