Also, is that a legal setup? I mean, the B16A1 was the first gen correct? I was under the impression that you could only swap in the same year or newer engine as your cars model year. I am interested in this info because the 1st gen B16's are so cheap. Thanks.

Why in the world did you drop your PSI down to 15lbs on stock tires...for one the side walls are being destroyed, second they are not wrinkle wall tires so they won't launch you like a slick will, and for the LITTLE and I do mean little traction you might gain in your 60ft time you will lose for the rest of the quarter mile because you have now put so much rolling resistance on those tires. But you still pulled a decent time, I just can't understand why you treated street tires like slicks.

hrm...
Am I the only one who finds a 14.7 run on a bone stock B16A1 motor, with a blistering 160hp & 111ft/lbs...in an EJ1 with full interior and stock tires...a bit on the iffy side? How is that possible? How is it, that Steph Papadakis only got a 14.9 from a B16A built by JUN, with high compression pistons, cams, valvetrain, JUN ECU, all bolt ons, drag radials, no interior, race gas, limited slip differential, etc...and you get 14.7 from a torqueless stock motor in a heavier car? I don't know, I just have a hard time buying it.

Papadakis actually pulled a low 14. Something like 14.15.
I have a friend with a first gen b16 w/ bolt ons in a 96 sedan running 14.7s. Doesn't make sense to me, but he does it.

88-91 Civic/CRX B16A1: 160hp
90-93 Integra XSi B16A1: 160hp
92+ Civics had the 170hp B16A...so you either have a second gen and up B16A, or 160hp...take your pick.
Regardless, that means a Civic with a stock B16A can beat an ITR?
